Here’s a scenario we come across quite a bit as a company that works on residential Crestron systems: Someone moves into a home with an existing Crestron system, and it isn’t working as it should. The homeowner does a little bit of online searching and finds our company listed as a certified Crestron Service Provider (CSP) and emails or calls us. They often aren’t sure exactly what needs to be done, but they know they need the help of someone who knows how to work with Crestron systems.
Fortunately for the homeowners who contact us, we are able to help! Not all Crestron programmers are willing to work on existing Crestron systems, but our company is uniquely qualified to work on both newer and older systems because we’ve been doing Crestron programming for more than 20 years. We’ve pretty much seen it all when it comes to Crestron systems and can troubleshoot just about any issue.
When a new client comes to us with an existing system, the first thing we do is a complete assessment of the system. We want to see what is working and what isn’t. Then, we can give the homeowner a good idea of what it will take to bring the system back to full functionality.
A lot of homeowners come to us initially thinking that they just need a repair to their existing Crestron system, but what they actually need is an upgrade. For example, they may have a piece of hardware that is no longer compatible with the latest technology and needs to be upgraded to something newer. When an upgrade is necessary, we work with our network of Crestron dealers and integrators to get the homeowners everything they need to update their system and make it fully functional again. Many homeowners in this situation choose to do additional upgrades at the same time—adding functionality or changing the way their system works to make it more in line with their specific lifestyle.
Just to be clear: we only recommend upgrades when they are actually needed. If all you need is a repair, we are happy to take care of that for you. We may make recommendations about upgrades that would improve your system’s functionality, but we won’t try to tell you that you need an entirely new system when that isn’t the case. We are always completely honest and upfront with our customers. If another Crestron programming company has told you that your home needs a complete system upgrade, we are happy to provide you with a second opinion.
Our team is here to guide you through the process of repairing or upgrading your Crestron system. We can provide you with whatever level of service you need. Contact us with any questions you may have or to schedule an assessment of your existing system.
