I recently had an interesting interaction with a former client. We haven’t done work together in a while, but we reconnected shortly after he had visited our company’s website, which had recently been redesigned. He commented that, based on our website, our company appeared to be too “big time” to work with someone like him. I didn’t probe too much into why he thought that, but I’m guessing it’s because he saw that we’ve done work with some large corporations and government agencies and have won some impressive awards for Crestron and Extron programming, and he thought that his relatively small project wouldn’t be worth our time.
While it’s true that AVPA has been involved with some “big time” clients, especially in recent years, we are still a small, owner-operated business with small business service and values. Every client, big or small, still deals directly with the company president on every Crestron or Extron programming project. We have a small, but experienced team of Crestron and Extron programming specialists that is under the direct supervision of that same company president, and we still operate out of a single San Diego office. We are far from “big time,” even though sometimes we get the opportunity do Crestron and Extron programming for some “big time” projects.
We tend to highlight some of the larger, more impressive projects we’re involved with on our website and in our blog, but we still work on many smaller projects, including programming for residences and other small businesses. If you’re looking for the customized functionality that Crestron or Extron programming can provide your home or place of business, our team at AVPA would love to make it happen, no matter the size of your project!
So, yes, we are involved with some big, impressive projects, but we also still do plenty of smaller projects, and our smaller clients benefit from the same programming expertise that our larger clients receive!
We hope that as our business grows, clients with smaller projects and budgets won’t shy away from contacting us just because they see that we are doing work with larger organizations—especially clients we’ve worked with in the past. We love connecting with past clients and helping them upgrade their systems or create new ones that utilize the latest technology.
If you are in the market for a programming company for your commercial or residential project, we hope you’ll reach out to us at AVPA. You can give us a call at our San Diego office, or you can send us a message through our website. We look forward to hearing about your specific project and seeing how we can partner with you to help make it happen!
