In our a recent blog post, we announced that AVPA was part of the team led by Land & Sea Entertainment in San Diego that won a CEDIA award for Best Integrated Home, Level IV, in the Americas. Since that time, the project was entered into the CEDIA Global Awards competition, and it was recently announced that it was also named the Global winner for Best Integrated Home! Lest you think it is not that difficult to get a CEDIA Award, we’d like to point out that there are only three Global Awards given out in a year (and only one for Best Integrated Home) from the preeminent authority in the home technology industry! This isn’t a competition where everyone gets a trophy just for playing. These awards are highly coveted accolades and all of the entries, which really do come from all over the world, are very impressive. The Global winners were chosen from among the winning entries in the three regional competitions that were announced earlier this year.
The Global Awards were given out at a ceremony held on the film set of the Harry Potter movies at Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London. Four representatives from Land & Sea Entertainment made the trip to accept the award and enjoy the elegant ceremony.
The two other CEDIA Global Award winners were: DC Home Systems from Portsmouth, New Hampshire who won in the Best Home Cinema category, and Synergy Technologies from Pakistan who won for Best Media Room. We’d like to congratulate these very deserving companies for their award-winning work.
This was the first CEDIA Global Award for Land & Sea Entertainment, and we are so proud to have had the opportunity to work with them as their Crestron programming partner on this project, as well as with the homeowners, Roger and Elise Norman of San Diego. It was truly enjoyable to be able to work at such a high level with all of the talented individuals involved in the project.
All winning projects, as well as the finalists, will be featured in the 2017 CEDIA Awards yearbook.
