Recently, our company made a big announcement—we are expanding and have opened a second office in Lake Tahoe to better serve our Crestron and Extron programming customers in Northern Nevada and Northern California. The decision to expand was made based on many factors, both business-related and personal. In our last blog post, we talked about some of the reasons for opening another office, but in this post, we wanted to explain more about why we specifically chose the Lake Tahoe area.
First of all, there’s a very personal reason for choosing Lake Tahoe as our second office location. AVPA owner and president Matt Grisafe and his wife have always dreamed of living in Lake Tahoe. They’ve vacationed in the area for many years and have come to really love the area. Not long ago, they purchased a home in the Lake Tahoe area to use as both a vacation rental property and as a place where they could stay when they wanted to get away from Southern California for a bit. They soon realized that Lake Tahoe was where they wanted to be full time. However, they didn’t want to shut down the San Diego office since the company has an established reputation there and a great network of clients and partners. The decision was made to keep the San Diego office as the company’s headquarters while opening a second location in Lake Tahoe.
But opening a new office in Lake Tahoe wasn’t a decision based purely on personal reasons. Our company also recognized the area as a prime location to promote our Crestron and Extron programming services and support. There are many high-end residences in Lake Tahoe that could benefit from Crestron programming, as it can give homeowners the customized home automation and home control that they can’t get from “out-of-the-box” solutions. At the same time, there aren’t a lot of other companies in the area offering Crestron programming and Crestron support services in Lake Tahoe, so we knew there was a lot of potential for our company to grow in this location.
Also, because of the business-friendly atmosphere in Nevada and the current economic climate, combined with AVPA’s long-standing reputation for Crestron and Extron programming in San Diego, we felt like now would be a great time to make this move.
We’re looking forward to all of the new opportunities that will come with our new Lake Tahoe location. If you are a Lake Tahoe homeowner or business owner who is looking for customized solutions to make it easier to control and automate things like your audiovisual system, lighting, security, HVAC, and more, we’d love to talk with you about how we can make that happen.
