High Rise Condo Gets Upgraded Audio and Video System with Crestron Programming

Not all Crestron programming companies will take on a project that involves an existing system, but here at AVPA, “takeovers” are one of our specialties. We were hired directly by the owners of a condo in the Meridian, a 27-story luxury condo complex with amazing views of the San Diego Bay and first-class amenities, to update their AV system and provide ongoing system support.The main concern of the homeowners was system reliability. They wanted an AV system that would work every time. The existing system had changed hands several times prior to AVPA’s involvement. We came in and cleaned up the wiring, troubleshooted some of the issues the homeowners were experiencing with the system, and updated/simplified the hardware. Working with our hardware installers in San Diego, we equipped the condo with two 4K streaming Roku devices—one in the family room and one in the master bedroom—as well as a Sonos system for audio streaming.

All of the AV is able to be controlled from two iPads, and the Crestron programming allows the homeowners to create custom presets that can then be easily recalled. By using intuitive devices like iPads for control, it makes the entire system simple to use and ensures that the homeowners will be able to get the most out of their AV system.

Another major concern that the homeowners had was ensuring that they could receive timely support when needed. We were able to reassure them that any programming issues could be handled remotely by our highly experienced Crestron programming team, and that our service tech in San Diego would be able to help them with any other issues or updates they wanted to make in the future.

While this was one of the smaller residential projects we’ve taken on recently, we poured all of our resources into making sure our clients got the exact system they wanted and will have access to reliable, timely support whenever they need it.
